Venetian Sunset

I wanted to learn more about painting landscapes in a looser fashion than I normally would. So I started a course on painting with acrylics. But I didn't have acrylics... so I used Photoshop and tried to mimic the style. I'm not sure if that made things easier or harder...

I learned a lot about brushes, texture and colour, so I think it was worthwhile! The result looks a bit water colour-y to my eye, I'll need to be a bit braver with fully opaque colours in the future. Much to improve on still, but I'm happy with the little bit of improvement I've made already!
